The LATTERIA DI LIVIGNO, in continuity of the local agriculture, is borne as a cooperative in the 50ies through the union of a limited number of producers.
Today it can count on 210 members working for 125 small and medium farms only in the area of Livigno and Trepalle.

The LATTERIA DI LIVIGNO is the supervisor of the municipal agricultural plan and leads the management of the municipal pastures and flocks of sheep. The cooperative promotes the development of the mountain area of Livigno and Trepalle in order to improve and expand the whole agricultural activity.

The new premises in via Pemont (close to Livigno´s lake), more appropriate and functional for processing the new products, have been thought and erected to welcome guests, who can see the milk transformation process through big glass panes, taste all products in the inviting “stue” or in the big outdoor terrace, and see through multimedia-based projections the peasant history of Livigno and Trepalle or the stages in building up the new LATTERIA. An exhibition of photos and various old objects shows our guests the rural tradition of the valley: a world made of passion, tradition and love for one’s country.

Everyday from June to end October from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. tours with audio–guides also in English and German, incl. our products’ tasting.
